Commerce Township Appoints Katelyn Massey as Township Treasurer

COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Commerce Township has appointed Katelyn Massey to serve as Township Treasurer, continuing the Township’s commitment to responsible financial stewardship and dedicated public service.

Massey assumes the role following the service of former Treasurer Molly B. Phillips, who served Commerce Township for 11 years. During her tenure, Molly provided steadfast leadership and worked diligently to support the Township and its residents.

“We are pleased to welcome Katelyn Massey as Commerce Township Treasurer,” said Township leadership. “Her commitment to public service and dedication to the community will serve residents well as she begins this important role.”

As Treasurer, Massey will oversee the Township’s financial operations, including tax collection, investments, and other fiscal responsibilities that support the delivery of essential services to residents. Massey stated "I am honored to serve the residents of Commerce Township as Treasurer and look forward to working alongside Township leadership, staff, and the community."

Township officials also expressed their gratitude to Molly for her years of service.

“For more than a decade, Molly has demonstrated professionalism, leadership, and a deep commitment to Commerce Township,” officials said. “Her contributions have had a lasting impact on our organization and our community, and we sincerely thank her for her 11 years of dedicated service.”
