Youth Pickleball Clinic

Richardson Community Center Pickleball Courts 1485 E. Oakley Park Rd Commerce Township

$60 per session 

All participants ages 8-13 are invited to join Coach Verellen on the courts to learn the fastest growing game in the U.S. Players will be introduced to the basic rules, skills, and game etiquette that will allow them to play the game with theirs, family members, and/or other youth their age. The participants will be introduced to skills including dinking, third shot drops, serving, service returns, and blocks. Other areas introduced will be paddle positioning, court awareness and positioning, partner communication and defensive play. Each day skills will be introduced followed by purposeful play in a controlled play environment. The first 60 minutes will be spend on skill work and drills to assist in forming a player's game wile the last 30 minutes of each days/ class will be controlled game play with feedback provided by Coach Verellen to assist in forming player skills during a game. All participants will be provided a pickleball paddle to use during the session (if needed).
