Day Trips & Extended Travel

 

Thank you for your interest in traveling with us here at the Richardson Senior Center.  We offer day trips and extended trips through our travel partners.

All trips require a deposit before your seat can be reserved.  (Day trips are non-refundable unless we are able to fill your seat.)

Detroit Historical Museum - Historical Perspectives guided tour

Date: March 12, 2025

Cost: $55 (includes transportation, guided tour and lunch)

Payment required to reserve your seat (trip is non-refundable unless we are able to fill your seat)

Itinerary

  • 10:30 am - Depart Richardson Senior Center
  • 11:30 am - Lunch at Shield's Detroit
  • 1:30 pm - Detroit Historical Museum Guided Tour
  • 4:30 pm - Approximate return to Richardson Senior Center

 

Travel back in time with a visit to Stahl's Auto Museum to check out their vintage car collection, while also enjoying their collection of gas pumps, signs, oil cans, and other car related memorabilia!

Date: April 24, 2025

Cost: $45 (includes transportation and guided tour, lunch will be on your own)

Payment required to reserve your seat (trip is non-refundable unless we are able to fill your seat)

Itinerary

  • 8:45 am - Depart Richardson Senior Center
  • 10:00 am - Guided tour of Stahl's Auto Museum with additional time on your own
  • 12:00 pm - Lunch at Amore's (on your own)
  • 3:00 pm - Approximate return to Richardson Senior Center

Date: May 13, 2025

Cost: $50 (includes guided tour of conservatory, lunch at Andrew's on the Corner and transportation)

Payment required to reserve your seat (trip is non-refundable unless we are able to fill your seat)

Itinerary

  • 10:00 am - Depart Richardson Senior Center for Belle Isle Conservatory
  • 12:00 pm - Lunch at Andrew's on the Corner
  • 3:00 pm - Approximate return to Richardson Senior Center

Enjoy a self guided tour of the Detroit Institute of Arts.

Itinerary

  • 12:00 pm - Depart Richardson Senior Center
  • 1:00 - 3:00 pm - Self guided visit
  • 4:00 pm - Approximate return to Richardson Senior Center

 

Join us for a guided grounds tour and immerse yourself in the beauty of the gardens at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House.  Following your guided tour you will enjoy a buffet lunch.  Buffet Lunch includes: Salad, chicken parmesan encrusted w/lemon sauce, roasted garlic redskin potatoes, dessert, coffee, tea, lemonade, and water

Please note that due to terrain variations, this tour isn't accessible for those with mobility challenges.  Dress comfortably and be prepared for the elements by wearing suitable footwear.  This is a rain or shine event

Extended Travel
