Library Letter Song

L.I.B.R.A.R.Y. it is Library Letter Time
La, La, Library Letter Time!

Action Rhyme: Itsy Bitsy Spider

The itsy bitsy spider
Climbed up the waterspout
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
And the itsy bitsy spider
Climbed up the spout again

The big gigantic spider
Climbed up the waterspout
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
And the big gigantic spider
Climbed up the spout again

Action Rhyme: Roly Poly

Roly, poly, roly, poly
Up, up, up
Up, up, up
Roly, roly, poly, roly, roly, poly
Down, down, down
Down, down, down

We roll the song cube to determine which song we sing each week!

I’m A Little Teapot

Instrument Song (with instruments)

Here it is! (Here it is!)
Play it really fast, then play it really slow
Run away (Run away)

Way Up High in the Apple Tree (with shakers)

Way up high, in the apple tree
Two little apples smiled at me
So I shook that tree as hard as I could
Down fell the apples
Mmmm! Were they good!

Eggs Shakers Up (with shakers)

Egg shakers up
Egg shakers down
Egg shakers dancing all around the town
Dance them on your shoulders
Dance them on your head
Dance them on your knees
Then tuck them into bed

Songs We Danced To

Border with music notes

We used scarves, shakers, instruments, bubbles, fish puppets, bean bags, and a parachute to bring this music to life! Marissa loves adding props to music because doing so helps deepen our connection to music through movement, enhance our understanding of musical concepts like beat and tempo, develop our gross and fine motor skills, and promotes creativity, imagination, and social skills like teamwork and sharing!

  • "The Goldfish" by Laurie Berkner
  • “Shake Freeze” by Little Maestros (with parachute)
  • "We Are the Dinosaurs" by Laurie Berkner
