In November 2022, voters approved Proposal 2022-2 which gives voters the right to cast a ballot early and in person at an Early Voting Site before Election Day. The Charter Township of Commerce is partnering with Oakland County Elections to host an Early Voting Site at the Commerce Township Community Library for all elections. The EV Site will allow voters in Commerce Township, City of Walled Lake and City of Wixom to cast their ballot in-person from February 17th – 25th. Early Voting hours will be 8:30am-4:30pm every day except Thursday, February 22nd when the hours will be 12:00noon – 8:00pm.
In addition, all voters in Oakland County will have a second EV Site which is located at: Waterford Oaks Activity Center, 2800 Watkins Lake Rd, Waterford MI 48328
Early Voting Close of Polls Tabulation will take place at the Charter Township of Commerce Offices located at: 2009 Township Drive, Commerce Twp, MI 48390 beginning at 8:00pm on Election Day, February 27, 2024.

All drop boxes are checked at least once a day beginning 35 days prior to each election until 8:00pm on Election Day. These secure drop boxes are all open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, placed in well-lit public areas under video surveillance.

Precinct Inspectors are people who are paid to assist voters at the polls on Election Day. You must be a registered voter in the State of Michigan to work as an election inspector. If you are interested in serving as an election inspector, please submit an election inspector application to your local Clerk’s Office.
