This project involves the installation of 5,300 feet of 24” water main & appurtenances along the west side of Benstein Road between Glengary Road and McCoy. The new water main will provide redundancy within the system and connect the storage tank at Fire Station #1 to the southern portion of the Township.
The contractor encountered some issues involving the crossing of the lake and has completed this section of the installation. The contractor will re-mobilize to complete the project north to Glengary Road starting at the end of August.
The majority of the project will be installed by directional drill method in order to minimize disruption. All disturbed areas will be restored immediately following construction. The project will continue until late fall 2023 and will involve temporary traffic control within the project boundaries throughout the duration of the project.
