Commerce Township will begin construction of a water main project along Benstein Road the week of 1/23/2023. This project will involve the construction of 5,300 feet of 24” water main & appurtenances along the west side of Benstein Road between Glengary Road and McCoy. This project will provide redundancy within the water main system and connect the storage tank at Fire Station #1 to the southern portion of the Township.
The majority of the project will be installed by directional drill method in order to minimize disruption. All disturbed areas will be restored immediately following construction. The project will take approximately 12-16 weeks to complete and will involve temporary traffic control within the project boundaries throughout the duration of the project.
